This program is a one-year vocational program offered at our satellite campus, the Gulf/Franklin Center, in Port St. Joe, FL.  Successful completion allows the graduate to sit for the national exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN). One class of 30 students is admitted per year in the summer semester. The application deadline is the last working day in April each program year and class begins in June. The practical nursing curriculum includes 45 vocational credit hours to include math, human structure & function, pharmacology, medical terminology, and nursing courses. Instruction occurs in classroom, campus lab, and clinical facilities. Advanced standing is awarded to students who
are Certified Nurses Aides and successfully meet specified criteria.
