Gulf-Franklin Center-Practical Nursing Program

This program is a one-year vocational program offered at
our satellite campus, the Gulf/Franklin Center, in Port St.
Joe, FL. Successful completion allows the graduate to sit
for the national exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
One class of 30 students is admitted per year in the summer
semester. The application deadline is the last working day
in April each program year and class begins in June. The
practical nursing curriculum includes 45 vocational credit
hours to include math, human structure & function,
pharmacology, medical terminology, and nursing courses.
Instruction occurs in classroom, campus lab, and clinical
facilities. Advanced standing is awarded to students who
are Certified Nurses Aides and successfully meet specified
criteria.
